Once considered the third rarest date in the series. A couple small groups were uncovered in the 1950’s and 1960’s so that this is now a very scarce date, but not the great rarity it once was. The present example is very attractive with flashy yellow-gold luster that has a faint greenish hue when tilted under a light. The strike is sharp and the surfaces show fewer marks than usual for the grade.
