Doubling on the date, ribbon, and feathers. The date doubling is so prominent that it can be seen with the naked eye, yet this ‘doubled die’ wasn’t discovered until 1962. As a result, very few high grade coins exist and many known examples show some type of damage. This is a beautiful problem-free example with strong detail and nice light nickel-gray surfaces. The date is bold and the doubling is very obvious. An important coin for the advanced collector of this popular series.
